Portrait CD of first recordings of three important works, all performed by Ensemble Aventure with the baritone Guillermo Anzorena as the soloist in Altazor the first work for ensemble and electronics by Thomas Hummel from the Experimentalstudio of the SWR. Commissioned by Festival D’Automne a Paris and IRCAM in 2011.
Two other works included in this release: Epitafio, for ensemble and electronics written in response to the passing of my Mother in 2021 and Siphonophorae, for mixed sextet whose compositional idea and formal structure spring from that of a jelly fish and was inspired by a work of visual art.
