Programme Note

I wrote this trio in 1988. It was my first commission ever and I immerse myself into the world of the recorders in their different ranges which change throughout the piece.

Tlapitzalli is the náhuatl name for the Aztec flute which was made of clay. Three refers to the number of performers.
